Hailing from America, James Houlik is one the worlds leading tenor saxophonists. With past teachers such as the legendary Sigurd Rascher and Cecil Leeson, James really is saxophonic royalty!
In his recent tour of UK conservatoires (2011), I was lucky enough to be invited to interview James at the Royal Northern College of Music, one of Europe’s leading and most progressive conservatoires for saxophonic study.
Full of personality and humour, James offers thoughtful insight into a packed career, advice and observations into all things tenor saxophone and music.
